James Robert (Jim Bob) Wolfe passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born on February 6, 1942, to George Franklin Wolfe and Mattie Beatrice Perry Wolfe.

He is survived by a daughter, Raquel Denna Hebben and husband, Richard Hebben of Round Rock, TX., daughter Bobbie Kay Scoggins of Van Alstyne, TX., sister, Emma Jean Wolfe of Van Alstyne, a son in law, Daryl Motsenbocker of Fairview, TX. and sister in law, Mary Sue Wolfe, granddaughters, Rachel Motsenbocker and Chloe Kay Scoggins, one grandson, Michael Motsenbocker, and two nephews, David Wolfe of Henderson, TX., and Mark Wolfe of Round Rock, TX.

Jim Bob was preceded in death by his parents, George and Beatrice Wolfe, wife, Karan Hinton Wolfe, daughter Michelle Denise Motsenbocker, and brother Jack G. Wolfe.

Jim Bob retired from the US Department of Transportation FAA in 1993. He has operated Crossroads Auto Center since that time.

He is a member of Leah Elliott # 1119 Order of the Eastern Star, the Mantua Lodge 209 of Van Alstyne, a member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry 32nd degree, Valley of Dallas, TX., and a Shriner member of Hella Temple, Dallas, TX.

James attended Austin College night division and graduated from East Texas State (now a division of Texas A&M) with a Bachelor of Science. He also did graduate work at East Teas Commerce and was a graduate of the FAA Aeronautical Center, OKC.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Jim Bob. He was one of a kind and will be missed. He always had a smile on his face and fatherly advice when I dropped off my truck to get fixed or needed new tires.
I always knew I could trust him. Very good man.
