Ivan R Hamilton

 

    Ivan R. Hamilton, a lifelong resident of Roosevelt, passed away on April 7, 2023, at the age of 84. 
    He was born to Marvin Reece and Mary Ruby Johnson Hamilton. Ivan worked for 35 years at the Whiterocks Fish Hatchery.
    Ivan found joy in fixing cars, woodworking, and gardening. He was a man of many talents. Ivan’s beliefs played an important role in how he lived his life and the way he cared for others.
    He was a quiet man who kept to himself, but his acts of generosity spoke volumes. Ivan donated firewood and shared produce from his garden.
    He is survived by his brother, Arnold (Kathleen) Hamilton of West Jordan, and numerous nieces and nephews. 
    He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as six siblings: Fern Olsen, Bertha Wilkerson, Marvin Hamilton, Lorna Anderson, Ina Drake, and Neldon Hamilton.
    A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Roosevelt Memorial Park. Prior to the service, a viewing will be held at the Hullinger Mortuary, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
    Ivan’s kind spirit and his generosity will be missed by all who knew him.
