My uncle never hesitated to tell me how much he loved my Mom, his baby sister. He never bypassed the opportunity to share a memory of her with me. I loved him even more for that. When I moved from Beaumont, we didn't get to see each other as often as we would have liked, but I felt a sense of security in the knowledge that if I ever needed him, he'd be there... with another beautiful memory, an opened heart, and a will to help in any way he could. I will genuinely miss him. Unc, tell my Mommy I love her and I wish I had known her on this side. I'll see her when I get there.
