Jimmy Boheler

A Mass of Christian Burial for James Lee "Jimmy" Boheler, Jr. will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1709 Lyttleton Street, Camden. Father Orlando Serrano will officiate. Burial at Hardshell Cemetery, Lugoff, SC, will follow. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with family receiving friends in St. Mary's Hall following the Rosary. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org or Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Jimmy passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Lois Paulwayne Jackson. A Vietnam veteran, Jimmy proudly served in the US Army. He was previously employed at Sheheen Feed and Seed, Miller Lumber Company, and Camden Builder Supply. Jimmy was also a sound engineer for Left Triangle and Reflections.

Jimmy was an avid weightlifter for over 60 years. He played softball for the Kershaw County Recreation Department for over 60 years, and he played both football and baseball for Camden High School. Jimmy played in the Pony League World Series game in 1959, and the team finished in 3rd place, a great accomplishment for a team from a small town no one had heard of.

His favorite pastime was spending time at his beach house with Pam. That was his happy place. Jimmy never met a stranger and was loved by everyone.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pamela Martin Boheler. She was the love of his life. He is also survived by his aunt, Yvonne Jackson Brazell (Andy, deceased).

In addition to his mother, Jimmy was predeceased by his sister, Mary Lois Fair; great-grandparents, Isom Joshua and Beulah Branham Jackson; grandparents, Elliott and Martha Jackson; aunts, Mildred Jackson, Kathryn Jackson Blume (John); and uncles, Henry Elliott Jackson (Bernice), Sam Jackson, and Michael Jackson (Carolyn).
