Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Cobbins, 75, of Naples, Texas, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at New Testament Baptist Church in Naples. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Cason, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Cobbins will lie in state for viewing from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2025, at Reeder-Davis in Hughes Springs.

Mr. Jimmy L. Cobbins, Jr. was born May 12, 1950, to the late Mr. Jimmy L. Cobbins, Sr. and Mrs. Elwilla Linwood Cobbins in Naples, Texas. Jimmy departed this life on November 16, 2025 in Tyler, Texas.

He attended Carver School in Naples. He later married Sandra K. Graham, and to this union one son was born. Jimmy worked in several trades as a laborer. He was a true cowboy at heart, with a deep love for animals, especially horses.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Elwilla Cobbins; grandparents, Algie and Clara Linwood, and Oliver and Minnie Lee Cobbins; two sisters, Minnie L. Alford and Dorris A. Thomas; and four brothers, Johnny Cobbins, Frank A. Linwood, Larry D. Cobbins, and Robert E. Cobbins.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Bertrand Cobbins, and grandchildren of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Elder William "Verniece" Cobbins of Daingerfield, Billy Cobbins, and James Cobbins; one sister, Velma Nelvels, all of Naples; uncles Rosco and William Linwood of Dallas; W.J. "Sonny" Linwood of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
