Jimmy Lee Eaves Jr.

Jimmy Lee was a good friend of my mother's Cynthia Yarborough-Cox, who also sang. When I was 21 a friend of mine introduced me to him at the black horse saloon. Me not knowing went home and told my mom about this Amazing man who sang like an angel with so much passion, when I told her she started to cry saying she was friends with him and missed the good days. Sadly she had already gone down hill and wasn't able to go see him, she passed in 2015, at 46, but I'll never forget when I told jimmy who I was, he also knew my grandmother and grandfather who sang in a band as well and he told me stories of them. Here it is 2024 and I'll never forget him and what he brought back to my life.

Jimmy and my husband were best friends. He played bass for Jimmy for many years, recorded all of Jimmy´s albums, and worked together with Jimmy to design and build Jimmy´s CNC Mill. Jimmy is an Icon for Country Music all over Fort Worth and the DFW area. Jimmy gave a lot of young musicians their start in music and performing in a professional live band.

Jimmy was deeply loved by many and he will be sorely missed.

My heart and prayers go out to Jimmy´s family and friends. I pray God grants you the strength to face what you must and the peace and serenity as you go through each day hereafter.

Never was a time where we hung out during his shows that he wasn't so kind and extremely funny. I enjoyed his friendship from the 1st time we met when he made me feel like family. Love you and will miss you so much, my dear friend!!! Can't wait to reunite and hear you playing for Jesus.

My heart goes out to Mary Wyatt and Cheyenne my deepest condolences I am so sorry for your loss it is a tragic loss to your family as well as all of us out here it was an honor to know Jimmy Lee as long as I can remember I was a little girl and my father would take me to the Big River or Jimmy played as well as the pink poodle I loved hearing Jimmy play music it was a incredible unique voice it was like I would say I can only imagine what it's like to stand on that stage and play then one day I decided to honor Jimmy Lee with prizes gifts and a plague I called Mary eaves on the stage she said why do I have to come up here I said because you're special as she is special being the mother of those two beautiful children she's very special and she was special to Jimmy Lee and her children Jimmy loved her unconditionally and he loved his family there was nothing he wouldn't do for his family so it was an honor for me to walk on that stage give Jimmy Lee and Mary the guitar in the plaque I remember the family didn't care for balloons I filled the bar up with hot pink and black balloons because of Black Horse Saloon and then I put pictures all over a poster board and I did it just to honor someone very incredible and special what a unique songwriter and singer he was as he is playing in heaven right now and the song that he sang We're unbelievable when you needed someone to talk to Jimmy was staying there take his time and just talk to you even when Mary was saying hey we got to go he would still stand there talking and smiling make you laugh like no other as long as I live I will never ever forget the pleasure of knowing someone so incredible I called him my brother as long as I can remember though he was not my real brother and my heart he was my brother he told me once respect is free you just got to earn it and I believe he earned it with me many years ago and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to know someone so special I Can Only Imagine what it would be like they're in heaven so I'll see you again my friend my brother so in the meantime just do what you know best and play your songs and be happy on that stage and we'll all see you again until that day comes I love you always Angelina Carpenter

I was a sound tech for Jimmy for a few years back in the 90's. I knew his dad too. The news today ruined my day!

Please know you are in my heart and on my mind Mary. Please stay safe and call me if you need me.

My prayers are with Jimmy Lee's family. It has been years since I last saw Jimmy but I will always remember good times and laughs when he was around. And of course great music. To many favorites to mention but of course Hello Cowboy is one. I will always remember his curly hair and impish grin. May he rest in The arms of Angels where there is no more pain. He is singing in God's choir along side his Mom,Dad and brother plus many who also left this world to soon. He will be greatly missed.

I had no idea he was ill. We have been friends since 2nd grade. I worked for his father for 8 years. Its really hard to believe. RIP Brother.
