Condolences to Brother Jimmy's family. I had the honor and privilege to serve with Brother Jimmy in the U.S. Army Chaplain Corp.

My sincere condolences to the Dr. Jimmy Gilbert family. My very last conversation with my friend was just a week prior to his passing. We talked about the challenges of life, and recapped many of our experiences in business.

I was pleased to have been introduced to Dr Gilbert and his family just after his appointment to Sidney Park CME Church. He, along with others encouraged me to return, and to renew my membership at the church. We often had several meetings at our downtown office, and enjoyed the fellowship.

It was after my return to Sidney Park that I served, under his leadership, as a Stewart, Trustee and Church Treasurer. We celebrated dozens of trips and meetings together, and maintained the relationship decades later. He will surely be missed.
