Jimmy Garrett Gilliland, of Lubbock, passed away on February 8, 2024, he was 35 years old. Jimmy was born to Jimmy and Lea Gilliland (Wilson) on April 26, 1988.
Jimmy was a Lubbock native born and raised. Jimmy graduated from Lubbock-Cooper High School in 2006. After graduation he served in the Army from 2006-2010. He was a tank operator in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Jimmy worked as a window tinter. He was a big wrestling and football fan. The Dallas Cowboys was his favorite team.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his stepfather, Gary Wilson; and brother, Jimmy Joseph Gilliland.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmy Gilliland and Lea Wilson; siblings, La'Rae Reep and husband Jacob, Camille Gilliland, Carissa Gilliland, Christin Gilliland Moreno, Caitlyn Salas, Kevin Wilson and wife Stephanie, and Amy Wilson.
The family invites extended family and friends to join them for a time of visitation on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Combest Family Funeral Homes in Lubbock. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 2:00PM at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, in Woodrow, Texas.
