Jimmy Grant Obituary
He was born June 7, 1944 to the late Mervin Allen and Vonda Irene Grant. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his sisters: Ima McDaniel, Shirley Whitt, Patty Lewis, and Diane Persinger.
He honorably served his country for 28 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant with the West Virginia Army National Guard. Following his military service, he continued his career in the auto sales industry for over a decade. He attended Hurricane schools and was a graduate of the University of Charleston.
Jimmy is survived by his children: Angela D. Jones (Chris) of Hurricane, WV, and Gregory L. Grant (Michelle) of Huntington, WV; grandchildren: Jimmy Grant of Charlotte, NC; Joseph Grant of Huntington, WV; and Julie Dean (Andrew) of Knoxville, TN; brother, Billy Grant (Mary Jane) of Columbus, OH; sisters: Carolyn Stanley of Southside, WV; and Deb Grant Forth of Hurricane, WV; brother-in-law and caregiver, John Lewis of Hurricane, WV and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Jimmy will be 6:00 pm Friday June 13, 2025 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane, WV with Pastor Tony Mays officiating.
Friends may visit with family one hour prior to the service.
