Jimmy Lee Gray, Jr.

Mr. Jimmy Lee Gray, Jr., 44, of Connelly Springs passed away Monday October 19, 2015 at his residence following a period of declining health. Mr. Gray was born March 31, 1971 in Burke County to Mrs. Dorothy Worley Kirsner and Jimmy Lee Gray,Sr. He worked in route sales at Pepsi. Mr. Gray was of the Baptist faith and was a member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lenoir. Survivors include his fiancé Cathy Brittain of Connelly Springs; children Adrian Gray Leverett and husband Patrick of Morganton, Haley Gray, of the home, and Jonathan Gray; step children, Amber Spann, and Steven Spann; three grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Kirsner and husband Barry of Sarasota, FL; father, Jimmy Gray, Sr. and wife Evelyn of Hudson; sisters, Cinthia Gray and Debra Gray; brothers, Rev. John Gray, Shannon Gray, and William Barron; uncle, Jack Gray; and cousin, Jackie Gray. A memorial service will be held 6:00PM Thursday October 22, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lenoir with the Rev. John Gray officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 5:00PM to 6:00PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lenoir.
