GREER – Jimmy Greer, age 68 of Lawrenceville, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Grace Bible Church, Lawrenceville, Georgia, with Pastor Drue Warner and Pastor David Bailey officiating. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he shared that faith generously-with his family, his friends, and the many communities he touched through service and leadership. Throughout his life, Jimmy poured his heart into the church, serving not only at Good News but also as a leader in several other congregations over the years. His joyful spirit and steadfast love for the Lord were evident in everything he did. He had a lifelong love of science fiction and delighted in home brewing his own beer, finding both creativity and camaraderie in the process. Professionally, Jimmy dedicated many years to education in the Gwinnett County Public Schools, where he inspired students and colleagues alike. He also brought his energy and insight to the business world as both a business owner and a logistics professional, earning respect for his hard work and integrity. Those who knew Jimmy will remember him for his kindness, his laughter, and his unwavering faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion that will continue to bless others for years to come. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Jr., and Virginia (Davis) Greer. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Leslie (Robinson) Greer; children Kristi (Brendon) van der Westhuizen; Jeremy (Anna Claire) Greer; and Jennifer (Zachary Stowe) Greer; grandchildren Beckham, Parker, Eve van der Westhuizen; and his sister Nancy (Price) Harding. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jimmy's honor to Good News Church in Sugar Hill, GA-an organization and community he deeply loved. https://goodnewschurchga.com/give.
