Jimmy Grier was born on January 25, 1962 in Atlanta, GA to Roy and Doris Grier.
Jimmy had 4 children. A son, Jason Grier (wife: Kala) and three daughters, Amanda Grier, Hannah Grier and Holly Coats (husband: Andrew).
Jimmy was best known for his love of hunting. Whether it be deer or turkey season, Jimmy was always ready. He greatly loved the outdoors. Jimmy could be found fishing, hunting, doing yard work, grilling, boating, or playing with his beloved pets, Cooper and Nacho. He was a reserved man but very loving of this family and of those around him.
Jimmy is survived by his children, his brother Ronnie Grier (wife: Brenda) and his sister Frances Crawford (husband: Robert). He also leaves behind 4 granddaughters, Brylee Grier, Breanna Grier, Madelyn Lloyd, and Layna Lloyd, along with 3 nieces, Ashley Davis, Amberley Reed, Candi Kelly and 1 nephew, Darryl McKenzie.
Jimmy is preceded in death by Roy Grier (father) and Doris Grier (mother).
The service for Mr. Jimmy Grier will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 12pm at Poole Funeral Home. Pallbearers include Ronnie Grier, Tim Kelley, Robert Crawford, Ralph Hohneke, Brad Roberts and Greg Cole. Honorary pallbearers are Howard Walker, Anthony Couch and Hayden Eberhardt.
Visitations will be held on Friday, September 29th from 5pm to 7pm and on Saturday, September 30th from 10am to 12pm. A burial will be held at New Home Baptist Church located at 923 Wiley Bridge Rd, Woodstock, GA 30188 following the service.
Memorial donations can be made in Jimmy's name to Dream Hunt Foundation.
