Jimmy Michael Jones

TIMBERLAKE – Jimmy Michael Jones, 57, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Hillcrest Convalescent Center. He was born in Cumberland County to the late Jimmy Jones and Rebecca Lynn Jones Burns. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his cousin, William Thomas Holleman and step-father, Berry Burns.
Jimmy graduated Northern High School in 1986. He later graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Economics and was an avid Tarheel's sports fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Kerr Lake, Oak Island, and in Indiana. Jimmy was an invaluable member of the office team that ran a 6 store Domino's franchise. He also managed the bookkeeping at Ole NC BBQ in Durham. He oversaw all activities related to payroll, taxes, receivables, and payables as well as numerous other duties not specified by any job description. He also worked in administration and IT support for ValSource.
Mr. Jones is survived by his sister, Carol Boothe (Jimmy); niece, Kirsten Hawley-Haskell(Sam); nephew, Justin Hawley; cousins, Cathy Lundy (Richard), Tony "Boss" Holleman (Amy), Susan Karns (Kenny), Paul Jones, Chris Holleman, Belita Crittenton, Mike Holleman (Vickie), Judi Allen, Todd Holleman, David Jones, Timmy Holleman, and Amy Mireles; aunts and uncles, Raymond & Carol Holleman of Cedar Grove, NC, Mike & Linda Jones of Greeneville, TN, and Patricia Lobeck of Hillsborough, NC. He is also survived by many friends and co-workers.
Jimmy was honored to be a part of the Easter, Griggs, and Heath families. He was grateful for their loving and dependable relationships.
The family would like to thank the care team at Hillcrest Convalescent Center for their loving care and continued support.
A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held at a later date.
