Jimmy Ray Miller, age 79, of Hurst, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025.

Jimmy was born on March 15, 1946, in Idabel, Oklahoma, to Roy Mack Miller and Ruth Earl (Davis) Miller. He was the fifth of ten children. The family moved to Texas when Jimmy was a young boy, where he would spend the majority of his life.

Jimmy proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1963 to 1967 and was stationed at Camp Pendleton in California.

Following his military service, Jimmy returned to Texas and worked for many years as a commercial and residential paint contractor. After retiring from contracting, he continued working at Home Depot in the paint department, where he enjoyed helping customers until his retirement in 2020 at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A devoted Christian, Jimmy served as a Deacon in several churches throughout the years. His faith was an important part of his life and guided the way he loved and served others.

On October 13, 1967, Jimmy married the love of his life, Gladys Virginia (Millican) Miller. Their marriage was built on deep love, friendship, and companionship. They were truly best friends and cherished every moment together. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary shortly before his passing.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ruth Miller; his sisters, Geneva, Pat, Melba, and Teresa; his brothers, Sonny, Waymond, Roger, and Harold; and his granddaughter, Brittany.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia; his daughter, Erin (Gary); his sons, Jimmy (Tonya) and Patrick (Julie); his sister, Nita; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel in Hurst, Texas.
