Jimmy "Jim" Dean Clapper, 67, passed away September 1, 2025, in Hutchinson, Kansas. Born to Earl Clapper and Nadean (Rice) Clapper on August 12, 1958, in Dodge City, Kansas.

He married Cheryl Mounce on July 7, 1978. He worked at Jack and Jill's grocery store from 1973-1976. In 1976 he started at Betts Rainbo Bakery and later transitioned to the union representative for BCT&G Local 245, and then later in life retired from there. He enjoyed playing pool, going camping and bowling in his younger years. He never turned down a cold one and spending time with his friends.

Jim is survived by his kids Justin Clapper, Jason (Shalom) Clapper and Jamie (Scott) Weast, four grandchildren and one on the way, and sister Sheryl (Tony) Babson and the kid's mom, Cheryl Clapper, and a niece and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Clapper, mother Nadean (Rice) Clapper, brothers Wesley and Steve Clapper and grandson Mason Peters, and many other family members.

A memorial will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11:00AM at Old Mission Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N Main Hutchinson, Kansas 67501.
