Jimmy Earl Proctor, born on September 7, 1947, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in Pryor, Oklahoma, at the age of 77. A lifelong resident of Mayes County, Jimmy was known for his warmth and dedication to his family and community.
Jimmy is survived by his sisters, Wanda Crittenden and husband Danny of Salina, OK, Dollie Sharp of Kenwood, OK, and Janie Pape and husband Darren of Dodge Center, MN; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will cherish his memory.
Jimmy was united in marriage to Elsie Arneecher in Salina on October 27, 1974. They shared many years of love and companionship until her passing in 2011. His commitment extended beyond his family as he served as a Deacon for Mt. Calvary Church for many years.
Throughout his life, Jimmy engaged in various interests that brought him joy, particularly fishing and cars, which reflected his appreciation for the great outdoors and his passion for automobiles. These hobbies were a source of relaxation and enjoyment for him, allowing him to connect with nature and share experiences with those he loved.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Proctor; his parents, Roy and Ruffie Proctor; his brothers, Paul, Bud Jr., Wiley, Stanley, Billy, Wadie, and Harold; and his beloved dog, Shorty.
Funeral services for Jimmy will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor with Reverend Richard Budder officiating. Clayton Proctor, Gerald Proctor, Jeramy Proctor, Clinton Crittenden, Nicholas Sharp, and Clifton McNeese will serve as honorary casket bearers.
