Jimmy Richey, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Cincinnati on November 21, 2024. Born on February 7, 1963, in Cincinnati, Jimmy dedicated his life to his family and neighbors, exemplifying the values of love, kindness, and humor.
Jimmy’s personality was as vibrant as his passion for music. He loved playing guitar and bringing joy to family gatherings and gatherings of friends. His playful spirit and ability to joke around made him a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew him. Above all, family was everything to Jimmy, and he made it a priority to express his love and appreciation to them consistently.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Samantha Richey, and their children: Cassie, Jimmy Jr., Danny, Cortney, Ziruh, and Sky. Jimmy's legacy also extends to many special grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who filled his life with immense joy. He is remembered fondly by his siblings, Greg (Cindy) Richey, Mark (Carla Dewan) Richey, Tina Richey, Rudy Richey, Rodney Lee Richey and Mel Richey, who will carry on his memory in their hearts.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Gary Lee Richey and Mary Sue Richey, and his late brother, Jason Tenbrink.
A visitation to celebrate Jimmy's life will be held at Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, located at 2880 Boudinot Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45238, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM on November 29, with a funeral service at 12:30 PM. Afterward, Jimmy will be laid to rest at Baltimore Pike Cemetery, 3200 Costello Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45211.
Jimmy will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to family and his generous spirit. He touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure through his family and friends.
Everyone who knew Jimmy, knows his favorite colors were red and black. In honor of Jimmy, family and friends are encouraged to wear those colors Friday.
