James (Jimmy) Donnell Sherrod, son of the late Mack and Maude Sherrod was born on February 12, 1949 in Jonesboro, Arkansas and departed this life on November 8, 2024 at NHC in Kennett, Missouri at the age of 75 years.
James married Sandra Ham on July 18, 1969. Together they had two daughters, Leah Sherrod-Neel and Laura Craig.
James was a combat veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War 1969-1971.
Survivors include: His wife of 56 years, Sandra Sherrod of Senath
One daughter: Laura of Kennett
Three grandchildren: Holly Harris of St. Louis, MO; Annalea Craig of Kennett, Missouri; and Jon Clark Harris of Jackson Missouri.
One sister: Mary Anna (Jim) White.
Jim is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Betty Sue Whitehead and his daughter, Leah
Graveside service will be Sunday, November 10, 2:00 P.M. at the Senath Cemetery with Rev. Doug Clinton officiating.
The visitation will be Sunday beginning at 1:00 P.M. at McDaniel Funeral Home and continue until service time.
