Jimmy Williams was born on August 10, 1958 in San Angelo, Texas to James August Williams and Irene Turk Williams. Sharing his birthday, he was his fathers gift that year. He was a graduate of San Angelo Central High School Class of 1977 and proudly displayed #66 on the football field.
As chance would have it, Jimmy became friends with a young man by the name of Terry Harding in 1981 and thanks to her brother, a young girl unknowingly met the love of her life. Seven years later, on December 31, 1988, Jimmy married that girl, Michelle Harding. Together they share two children.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 36 years, Michelle Williams; his children, Kim Taylor (husband James) of Mineral Wells, Texas; Bo Williams (wife Christina) of Duncan, Oklahoma; a sister, Darlene Lampier (husband Mickey) of San Angelo; a brother, David Williams (wife Lisea) of San Angelo; five grandchildren, Trey Taylor and Ambree Taylor both of Mineral Wells, Texas; Lydi Williams, Zayli Williams, and Brynli Williams all of Duncan, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Trisha Nichols; and grandson, Jacob Taylor.
Jimmy spent most of his career in the auto parts industry. Starting immediately after high school at Jobbers Service/Landers Automotive, also working at WM Automotive/Parts Plus, TMP Truck & Trailer, Mobile Maintenance and ended his career working for NAPA Auto Parts/BSP. He was also a member of the San Angelo Lions Club.
One of Jimmy's favorite things to do in life was to attend his children's and his grandchildren's sporting events. He enjoyed grilling on the weekends and his children's friends always knew they could count on eating some amazing food when they came over. Some of his favorite hobbies were: spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, camping and especially dancing with his wife and any friends or relatives that wanted to "Scoot a Boot". He enjoyed life and loved to have a good time when he wasn't hard at work. Jimmy was loved by all that met him and was the life of the party when he walked into a room. He had a heart of gold, always smiling, happy, friendly, compassionate, kind and fun. He is deeply missed and loved.
The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Concho Hearts Hospice for all of their love and compassion in their years of care provided to Jimmy and Michelle, along with the staff at Baycrest Senior Living Memory Care and Shannon Hospital, in his last 2 months of life.
You fought a hard fight, My Love....Always in My Heart and Forever My True Love. Fly High and We Will Be Together Again in God's Kingdom.
