Jimmy (Jim) Wise 77 of
Saint louis, Michigan, passed away February 13th, 2026, with his family by his side and many visits from friends and family to say their goodbyes the day before he was called home. Jimmy was born October 19th, 1948, in Alma Michigan to Melvin and Mae Wise. Jim was known for his big heart and deep love for his family. Jim was also just a phone call away to help anyone that needed help fixing anything. Jim had such a big sense of humor, was loyal, and kind. Even though his name was jimmy, he had many nicknames such as Wisey and Wise Bud and was known as Jim. Like his Wife Virginia, Jim had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his cat Whiskers that he had rescued and pet squirrels and deer that he had in his yard. You would never find him without peanuts in his pocket for them or sitting on the porch feeding them peanuts out of his hand even if it was raining or snowing. His morning routine was coffee, lottery tickets, making popcorn for the deer and birds and feeding all the neighborhood squirrels. Jimmy is survived by his Daughter Cindy Beard(Steven Howard), her Son Jimmy Wise(Cindy Watson), his Twin Sisters Lilah Degroft of Alma and Ilah(Lawrence) Fisher of Ithaca, Sister-In-Law Janet(Matt) Maurer of Alma, sister-in-law Carol Seaman of Sumner, brother-in-law Jimmy(Linda) Cojocar of Alma, sister-in-law Marie Cojocar of Grayling, sister-in-law Denise(Ervin) Pettipas of St. Louis, sister in law Pamala Parsons of Alma, his Granddaughters Kristina Beebe of St Louis, Chelsea(Caleb) Silorey of Mt Pleasant, Ginger Bermudez and Grandsons Derek Wise of Alma, Brandon(Jessica) Wise of the United States Marine Corp., Landyn Beard of Alma, Great-Grandchildren; Hayden, Peyton, Gracelyn, Brayden, Bryson, Brooklyn, Scarlett, Grayson, Ella, Jackson, Lillian, Shepherd and Henry, many nieces and nephews with a special place in his heart for Charles and Pamela Ferguson. Jim also held a special place for Tammy Howd who was like a second daughter to him. Jim was preceded in death by the love of his life Virginia (Cojocar)Wise, Parents Melvin and Mae Wise, Brothers John and Junior Wise, Brother-In-Law's Jack Cojocar, Tommy Cojocar and Tony Seaman. Jim attended Alma High School and dedicated his life to working hard to provide and care for his family. Jim retired from Alma Products Company after 32 years of service. Before Jim's COPD diagnosis he absolutely loved going to The Crystal Raceway. In his earlier years he enjoyed bowling leagues and later moonlight bowling with his kids and their spouses. Jim loved watching Nascar, The Detroit Lions, Tigers and Pistons and you would be sure to hear him yelling at the TV if his team was losing. He enjoyed having bonfires with family and friends in his backyard and absolutely loved his Saturday night poker games with family and friends, not so much when he lost. Most of all Jim loved and cherished the time with his family and friends and living the simple life not needing the fancy house or cars, if he had his family he felt like he was the richest man in the world. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Gratiot County Humane Society in Jim's name. Jim will deeply be missed by all that knew and loved him. It brings his family comfort knowing that he is now where he wanted to be, with the love of his life Virginia Lou Wise 8/14/50-02/07/2024. May your soul rest in peace DAD, we love you forever.
