Jo Ann Cain

On Tuesday, January 21, 2025 the Lord called home Jo Ann Cain. Born Jo Ann Franks April 12, 1935 in Amarillo, Texas, to Fred Franks and Grace Carter.

 At 89 years old Joann had a full life! She was married over 70 years to the love of her life, Lee Cain, who passed away in 2022.

 Jo Ann didn’t sit still! In her early years, she waitressed to help support the family and build the family business.

 Jo Ann also had artistic aspirations, loving to draw and to design. From flipping houses before HGTV was ever a thing, to designing and building several of her own homes. Jo Ann was an avid gardener planting, picking & canning. Her love for beauty inspired her love of travel. Whether it was jet setting across the globe to Europe or across the US in a Motorhome or on a cruise line, Joann loved to go. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Franks and Grace Carter; her son, Paul Cain; and brother, Richard Jay.

Jo Ann is survived by her children, Sandy Good of Mansfield, Clarence Cain; and her three children gave them nine beloved grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

 Living a long Christian life experiencing both happiness and heartache, Jo Ann was full of opinions and advice which were given freely and with love. All that loved Jo Ann will remember her words of wisdom and the outpouring of love. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed dearly by everyone who was blessed to know her.
