Jo Bearden Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dial & Dudley Funeral Home - Bryant on Sep. 24, 2025.
Jo Etta Bearden, at age 86 and a long resident of Mabelvale, Arkansas has joined her beloved husband and others she has loved dearly, on Sunday, September 21st, 2025.
She was born to the late James E. LeMaster and Etta Mae (DeHart) LeMaster, on Saturday, March 4th, 1939, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Jo Etta and her beloved husband, Dick, married on May 11th, 1957. During their marriage, their family grew to include 5 children, Rick Bearden, Janice Taylor, Glenn Bearden, James Bearden, and Gina Nickols. Which continued to grow including their eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
In her early life, Dick and Jo Etta loved to travel and visit new places, taking many special trips with each other, their children, and their grandchildren. Although she deeply loved each of her children and their spouses, when the grandchildren and great grandchildren started arriving it was clear that they had a special place in her heart. Jo Etta was a proud homemaker. Family was everything, her top priority, and there was nothing, within her power, that she would not do for her family. Ensuring her family was taken care of on a daily basis in every regard was her calling. Through God's love, she was able to pour all of her love into her family and friends and that was clearly evident to everyone she met.
Jo Etta loved roller skating, bowling, Elvis, and was very artistic when it came to drawing and painting. She also loved going to the Kingdom Hall and spreading the good news. She was baptized on February 23rd, 1963, to symbolize her dedication to serve her heavenly father, Jehovah. She made it her custom to have a regular share in the field ministry and to attend weekly meetings at the Kingdom Hall. That love for her heavenly father, Jehovah, was passed on to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. What a glorious gift.
All the conversations, laughter, lessons, her unique way of enjoying life, and simply Jo Etta's presence will be deeply missed by so many dear friends and relatives.
Jo Etta's faith and understanding of the bible gave her a hope for the future, which many of her friends and family also share, of being resurrected to a paradise earth. (John 5:28).
Her service will be held on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses: 10412 Mabelvale West Rd, Mabelvale, AR 72103
