JO CLARK Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Watson-Hunt Funeral Home - Perry on Mar. 21, 2026.
GRAY, GEORGIA –

Annie Jo Clark, formerly of Perry, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Autumn Lane Nursing Home after an extended illness. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 3:00 until 4:15 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry, followed by a graveside service in Perry Memorial Gardens at 4:30 p.m.

Jo was born on June 14, 1928, to the late Henry and Elizabeth Coats and graduated from Shades Cahaba High School in Irondale, Alabama. She attended business college and worked for several years as a secretary for Civil Service in Mobile, Alabama, and in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Jo married the love of her life, Paul Gene Clark, in 1948, and they were together for 45 years until his passing in 1994. She loved music and dancing, and in later years, enjoyed playing bridge. She was generous, had a wry sense of humor, and had a sharp mind into her nineties. She consistently made family and guests feel welcome when they visited.

Jo was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul, and her sisters, Carolyn Barker and Marion Hall.

Left to cherish the memories they made with Jo are her caring daughter and son-in-law, Terry Jean Harper (Cliff) of Milledgeville, and her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Conley Clark (Peg) of Foley, Alabama. Jo loved spending time with her grandsons, Zach Harper (Brandi) and Landon Harper (Kaitlyn) and their families, her great-granddaughter, Margaret Harper, and her great-grandson, Coats Harper. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at https://www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
