Jo Ann Henderson

Joann Henderson, 77, was called to glory on the 5th of December 2024 at her home in Florala, AL of natural causes. Her celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Faith Deliverance Apostolic Church, 21106 Kickapoo Ave. Lockhart, AL 36455. Followed by internment at Greenwood Cemetery in Florala, AL.
Joann was born on May 6, 1947 in Florala, AL to Connie Pearl Hobdy and RC Hobdy. She called Florala home and where she raised her (9)Children: Melissa Hobdy, Gerald Henderson, Tyrone Henderson(Pamela Henderson), Tamuladell Henderson, Chreedell Henderson(LeQuetta Henderson), Andre Henderson (Melinda Cook-Henderson) Cassandra Henderson, Demetrius Henderson(Candace Henderson) Bobby Joe Lee, Jr. (12) Grand Children: Stephen Hobdy, Se'Quan Hobdy, Victor Hobdy, Maurice Hobdy, Deniqua Daniels, Amber Jones, Germaine Henderson, Tyron Henderson, Quendall Henderson, Chreanna Henderson, Caden Henderson, Ty'Quan Henderson, and (12) great grandchildren. She is survived by (5) siblings: Flora Carthon, Evelyn Peacock, Charlie Hobdy, John Stone and Lewis Stone and had (5) deceased siblings: Charles Hobdy, Sarah Williams, Isaiah Hobdy, Betty Ann Williams and Gloria Ann Lewis. She also has dozens of nieces, nephews and many cousins.
JoAnn worked in the local textile industry for many years as a seamstress where she created lifelong friendships. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Florala AL.
She was adored by her children and fondly remembered in her beloved Florala community..
