Precious friend as a teenager we had so much fun! She was my bridesmaid at my wedding, and felt more like family than friend. I loved going to her house with her dad in his recliner and " Bit", her little dog in his lap, and Hazel making sure we had eaten, and always admonishing us to be careful when we left. I loved her orderly quiet house..but she loved my house, overflowing with kids, music and on going ballgames. I will always remember her going into our kitchen and looking to see what mama had cooking on the stove and getting herself a plate of whatever was cooked. She knew she was welcomed to it.
I hate that we grew apart as we both moved away from Fort Smith, as so often happened in our generation. She will always live in my memory as some of my happiest growing up years. Forever young, beautiful, fun and funny, talented and loving. See you again in heaven, my sweet friend.
