Jo Ann Hunt Tidwell

Jo Ann Hunt Tidwell, 87, of Huntsville, AL, passed away peacefully on Friday December 5, 2025, in her home.
Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The service will follow in the funeral home chapel with pastors Dorothy Ann Webster and Jake Smith of St. Paul United Methodist Church officiating, and music by Chaplain Laura Lemly. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Douglas Cemetery, Hwy 75, Douglas, AL.
Jo Ann was born in Horton, AL on August 15, 1938. She went to school in Douglas and graduated in 1956 from Douglas High School. She worked as a phone operator and then as Engineering Clerk for AT&T for 37 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, gospel music, watching sports, and spending time with her family and church family.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Paul Max Tidwell; their sons, Paul Anthony and Christopher (Jane); her sister, Patsy; grandchildren, Tony (Erica), Patrisha (Kevin), Vanessa (Paul), Christy, and Sabrina; and great-grandchildren, Jessica, Madison, Wesley, Noah, Konner, Max, Wyatt, Easton, Harley, Caroline and Johnathan. She was preceded in death by her father, GT Hunt (Soap), mother, Alma, and her infant daughter.
