Jo Ann Scales

Jo Ann Scales, age 90, passed away on December 30, 2025. Born on February 26, 1935 in Dixon KY, she was the daughter of Noah Joe and Agnes Keller. She moved to Evansville with her then-husband Louis Brown in 1959, but her roots and heart were always in Dixon and Webster County. After raising her two sons she worked at Bristol Myers Squibb for years

until retiring at age 70 and stayed very active until this past year. Her memory was unbelievably sharp until dementia slowly started taking it away over the last few years.

However, her memory today is as sharp as ever as she joins her Mom, Dad and a host of

relatives in Heaven. She will be missed by those still here – her sons Kenny Brown (Karen) and Danny Brown (Candy), six grandchildren - Kelley, Tracy, Jordan, Jillian, Cody and Shea - and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday January 2 from 3:00-5:00 at the Fireside Room at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway in Louisville, KY. Final visitation will be Saturday January 3 at 10:00 am in Dixon KY at Townsend Funeral Home, 140 US-41A

followed at 11:00 am by the funeral service and final burial at Slover Cemetery in Dixon.
