Our loving mother, Joan M. Bishop, 90, a resident of Grayslake, IL passed away on November 5, 2025. She was born on September 29, 1935 to Paul and Elizabeth Deabel in Chicago, IL.
Joan is survived by her children, Glenn (Peggy) of Schaumburg, Linda (Gerry) Ankerholtz of Belvidere, Paul (Iris) of Hawthorn Woods, Tom (Theresa) of Grayslake, and Elizabeth of Grayslake; her grandchildren, Karen (Alex) of Poplar Grove, Robert (Renna) of Seattle, WA, Michelle (Joe) of Tallahassee, FL, Tara (Justin) of Sycamore, Mike of Belvidere, Courtney (R.J.) of Roselle, Steven (Laura) of Woodstock, Nick of Joliet, Natalie of Joliet, Amanda of Knoxville, TN, Danielle of Asheville, TN, Zack of Arlington Heights, and Alicia (informally adopted) of Arlington Heights; and her great grandchildren, Khloe, Isaac, Aurora, Sabine, Vesper, Jaxon, and Rizen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenham Bishop; and her brothers, Robert and Ronald Deabel.
A Funeral Service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 12pm. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10am until 12pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Memorial Gardens in Arlington Heights.
