Joan L Boso

Joan L. Boso, 90, of Calcutta, Ohio, passed away peacefully on the evening of Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in East Palestine, Ohio, following a brief illness.

She was born in Darlington, Pennsylvania, on June 7, 1935, the daughter of the late Ormand and Dorothy (Connors) Shasteen. Joan was a devoted homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond H. Boso, whom she married on July 24, 1954, as well as her brother-in-law, Robert H. Cook.

Joan is survived by her son, Raymond G. (Janice) Boso of Calcutta, OH; her daughter, Tammy Boso of Calcutta, OH; and her sister, Judy A. Cook of Negley, OH. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Kippi (Ryan) Clark, Raymond Andrew (Heather) Boso, Stephen (Lany) Krafft, and Kimberly (Jerry) Williams; and her great-grandchildren, Levi Williams, Noah Williams, Kaitlyn Krafft, Tyler Boso, Lilly Boso, Noel Williams, Mia Krafft, and Hannah Krafft.

Burial will take place in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

In keeping with Mrs. Boso's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. The Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation was entrusted with her arrangements.
