Joan Brown Obituary

Brown, Joan Tuttle

January 25, 1946 - April 22, 2022

Mrs. Joan Tuttle Brown, 76, went home peacefully Friday April 22, 2022. She was born January 25, 1946, in Forsyth County, to the late Russell and Thelma Tuttle. Joan was well known for her love of flowers and the skill she possessed for growing and keeping them. She loved listening to music and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In 1984, Joan and her late husband, John William Brown, started John Brown's Country Store in King. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters. Joan is survived by her four children, William Brown (Candice), Kim George (the late, Jr. George), Scott Brown (Samantha), and Brian Brown (Joy); nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy Vestal, Dell Goins; and a brother, James Tuttle. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00AM Monday April 25, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Donald Davis and Larry Vestal officiating. Burial will follow in Stoney Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 at the funeral home, prior to the service. The Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Fonda Tuttle for the loving care and support shown to Joan, during her time of need.
