Joan Carroll Brumfield, 83, wife of Douglas Wayne Brumfield, of Union Mill Road, Nicholasville, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, in Hospice at Baptist Health. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on March 27, 1942, to the late Carlos and Mildred Cassidy Carroll. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Eden Christian Church. She is survived by her husband Wayne, three children, Saundra Lynn (Jimmy) Watts, Mike (Nancy) Brumfield, and Rebecca (Tim Davis) Brumfield, five grandchildren, Andrea (Jeff) Fristoe, Travis (Tiffany) Watts, Eswin Monroy, Logan Brumfield, and Case Brumfield, and two great-grandchildren, J.W. Fristoe and Rylee Grace Fristoe. Services will be 1:00 PM Friday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Herriford and Pastor Dean Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be grandchildren, great-grandchildren, spouses, and sons-in-law. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
