Joan Buie Obituary
Joan was born September 12, 1931 and was a retired Elementary school teacher, a dedicated Catholic and a lover of her Italian heritage. Joan was an avid reader, and supporter of animals and underprivileged children.
Joan is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Buie Sr. and a daughter, Karen Buie. She leaves behind five children Judy Teal, William G. Buie Jr. (Kim), Paula Griggs (Hal), Peter Buie (Belinda) and Monica Hingst (Chris), eight grandchildren, Jonathan Teal, Anastasia Buie, Jamie Grigsby (Austin), William (Gilbert) Buie III, Alicia Wright (Patrick), Matthew Hingst, Abigail Law(Carter), Emma Tourtelotte (Caleb), and 6 great-grandchildren, Declan, Isla and Fitz Wright, Emery and Grayson Grigsby, and Shepard Law.
The visitation will be held Thursday, Jan 11 at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends to donate to Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Joan's name.
