Joan Marie Collier Callis, 76, of Martin, TN, passed away on October 15, 2025, at her home in Lexington, SC.
Joan was born August 22, 1949, in Weakley, TN, to Leban and Blanche Collier. She graduated from Obion County Central High School in 1967, where she was valedictorian. She then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Martin. Joan was a CPA for 9 years with the Internal Revenue Service. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia and enjoyed spending time with her three children and six grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert Callis; three daughters: Jennifer Lamberth, Rachel Callis-Wolfe (Shaun), and Shelley Marchant (Brad); sister Sylvia Davis (d. Joe); and brother M. Dwayne Coller (Jane Gray). She also has 6 grandchildren: Aubrey Lamberth, Blake Lamberth, Tyler Wolfe, Mallory Marchant, Caroline Wolfe, and Toby Marchant.
Receiving Services for friends will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Rd, Lexington, SC 29073, from 6:00 - 8:30pm, Friday, October 17, 2025. Her memorial service will be at the First Baptist Church, 1306 Hampton St, Columbia, SC 29201, at 10:00am, Saturday, October 18, 2025.
