Manchester - Joan 'Joni' Dearborn, 72, of Manchester, NH, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 25, 2016 at her residence following a courageous year-long battle with metastatic uterine cancer. Joan was born June 10, 1944, in Manchester, N.H., the daughter of Catherine and Edgar H. Rouleau of Manchester, NH. Raised in the Queen City, Joan graduated from Central High School in 1962. Following school she married, started a family and began her professional career in the automotive manufacturing industry working at Freudenberg-NOK. Last May, she retired from her position as a customer service representative at Vibracoustic, formerly Freudenberg-NOK, following 51 years of distinguished service. Her strong work ethic and breadth of knowledge made her a respected, trusted and valuable employee and colleague. As a volunteer member of the company's employee activities committee, she helped organize company events and trips for fellow employees and their families — a role she especially enjoyed. Family and faith were two of the most important things to Joan. Her children, grandchildren, sister and parents served as a constant source of love, support and strength throughout her life, as did her faith community and her firm and unwavering belief in Jesus. Joan's devotion to her family members and God were steadfast and undeniable. Her kind heart, contagious smile, positive attitude, friendly personality, and charitable spirit exemplified all that is good and right in the world. She will be infinitely missed by those whose lives she touched and always remembered as a loving mother, doting grandmother, giving friend, and caring neighbor. She leaves two sons: David Dearborn and his wife Dawn of Weare, NH; Daran Dearborn and his wife Jennifer of Bedford, NH. Five grandchildren who she adored and cherished. A sister, Donna Roy and her husband André of Goffstown, NH, as well as a niece and nephew. Among the many special people in her life were her YOLO and Golden Girls who shared her sense of adventure and humor. A Catholic memorial service is being held Thursday, August 4th from 10 - 11 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm Street in Manchester, with a reception immediately following in the church hall. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive., Bedford, 03110.

My Dear Joni you are constantly in my thoughts. I miss you so much. I look at the pictures of our GG outings and I still cry. I was happy yesterday because as my husband and I sat on the patio eating our supper a Red Cardinal visited us. I know it was you because you looked right at us and you were chirping away. Telling us one of your stories for sure. I felt very happy and had a smile on my face and spoke to you.
You are an Angel of God taken too soon we feel but you were needed in Heaven. You will always be loved and missed.
Daren and David, Grandchildren and daughter in laws I offer my condolences. Joni was such a wonderful woman who left an impression with anyone she met. A lovely, warmhearted woman. Although she was like a Mother to me she was not my Mother so I can't even imagine the pain you feel from the loss of your Mother and Grandmother. Maybe in time we can all get through this and be able to talk about her without tears streaming down our faces.
Remember us GG are here for you. Take care.

Dear Joni,
You were likely my mother Cecile's best friend while you worked together at the old Disogrin, and for years after as well! Thank you for all the fun you had with my Mom on your lunch time adventures! You helped keep her young.

Dave and Daran, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom meant a lot to me and I will never forget all she did for me. I can hear her laugh now and it makes me laugh just thinking about it. It was so contagious. She is one of the greatest people I've ever known, undoubtedly the kindest and most generous. She's at peace now and deservedly so. I understand this is a difficult time for you and your families and I will keep you in my thoughts and in my prayers.
