Joan Everhart Obituary
She was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1947 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Joan married George W. "Bill" Everhart on July 30, 1949 at St. Joseph Church in Pittsfield. He predeceased her in 2021.
Mrs. Everhart was a secretary for 24 years at Berkshire Medical Center, retiring in 1993. Prior to working at BMC, she was employed as a secretary for General Electric.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Pittsfield. Joan was a devoted fan of the Red Sox, enjoyed Tanglewood and loved living in the Berkshires.
Mrs. Everhart is survived by three sons, William M. Everhart of Dalton, Christopher M. Everhart and Alice of Pittsfield and Robert J. Everhart and Joan of Pittsfield; four grandchildren, Andrea, Patrick, Claire and Ian; and four great-grandchildren, Jack, Henry, Samuel and Maeve; as well as her sister, Ellen Newton.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Carol O'Brien and Sharon Shantz.
Funeral Notice: Funeral services will be private and there will be no calling hours. A small service will be held at Ashuelot Cemetery in Dalton at a future date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to 18 Degrees (formerly Berkshire Center for Families and Children) and mailed to Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main St, Dalton, MA 01226

I remember when you moved to Patricia Drive and I met your mom and dad delivering the Berkshire Eagle when it was an afternoon paper
They were both such pleasant people. I feel for the empty place you will have. I don´t think the medaphors express how those we loose stay with us forever. Bless you all.
