Joan Foltz Obituary
Jan. 31, 1935 – Dec. 6, 2024
Formerly of Greentree and McMurray, passed away peacefully on Dec. 6, 2024 at the age of 89. Loving wife of 45 years to the late Donald R. Foltz, who preceded her in 2000. Joan left her nursing career to marry and raise her four daughters, and she later retired as a math teacher from the Mt. Lebanon School District. Joan loved playing bridge, tennis, and golf with her husband, friends, and grandchildren. She enjoyed her golden years in the warmth of Naples, Florida.
Joan was the daughter of the late George and Mary Margaret Pyle; sister to Linda Lucas; mother to Mary (Steve) Morelli, Dawn (the late Joe) Myers, Lana (Frank) Subosits, and Lynn (Larry) McEvoy; grandma to Dan (Liz) Myers, Marty (Lisa) Myers, Michael (Christy) Morelli, Brian Morelli, Lauren (John) Windstein, Scott (Jill) McEvoy, Doug Subosits (Kayllie Wang), Kevin McEvoy, and Matt Subosits; and "GiGi" to Ryan, Jo, Lucas, Gracie, Henry, Lily, Marissa, and Mason.
Arrangements by BEINHAUER, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-941-3211, where friends and family will be received on Tues. 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., and a Catholic Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Entombment to immediately follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to BrightFocus Foundation for Macular Degeneration Research, https://www.BrightFocus.org/macular
