You are and always will be a ray of sunshine. You are the most kindest, loving, and beautiful spirited lady that I know. Thank you for loving us and welcoming us into your family. You will always be cherished within our hearts.

I met Joan Irek in April 1982, when she came outside to investigate who was outside her house at night. She saw I was walking my puppy (Tammy) and you could tell she loved animals immediately. We struck up a conversation and I think from there on, she treated me like one of the family. Joan was a very kind, tender hearted and caring individual. The one thing I always admired was how close knit the entire family was. I was included in many of their gathering, and the entire family made me feel welcome. Gene was always the helpful type and he came to my rescue several times with his handyman skills. David was my first dog-sitter and I'd come home from a business trip and they had Tammy down at their house as they liked her so much. That's when I found out Tammy got along with cats, and I eventually got a cat to keep my dog company. To this day, I still look at their house on Northspring and think it's The Irek House. Susan and I extend our sympathies to the family and hope all the great memories you have will keep her always in your hearts.
