Ms. Joan E. "Rusty" Jackson

Joan E. "Rusty" Jackson, 86, of Orlando, passed away on Friday, November 2nd. She was born January 11, 1926 in Bushnell, IL to C. Ellis & Florence A. Jackson. Rusty graduated from Orlando High School in 1943, and after a career spanning the 50's and 60's she retired as Orlando Municipal Court Clerk. After the birth of her daughter in 1968, she worked for Accredited Surety & Casualty Company as a statistician for over 25 years. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Orlando where she served on the Altar Guild & played an active role in the extracurricular sports & music programs for their school, where her daughter attended. She is survived by her brother, Thomas E. Jackson; daughter, Dr. Judith E. Wray (Derek); son Paul E. Riordan; and precious grandchildren, Amber Filkins, Alexander, & Zachary Wray. In celebration of Rusty's life, visitation will be held Monday, November 5th from 5-8PM at the Baldwin Fairchild Lake Ivanhoe Chapel in Orlando. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 6th at 2:30PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Central Florida, 2727 Conroy Rd. Orlando, FL 32839.
