My sympathies to the family on the passing of Joan. Joan was a good loyal friend of my mom, Lois Michels, as part of her monthly ‘club girls’. For decades these ladies got together monthly and Mom(Lois) enjoyed spending this time together. I remember Joan always with a smile and kind word. May her family be comforted with fond memories and may Joan rest in the peace of Christ.

Oh Mary, today brought back such a flood of memories--stopping at the Kluber house on the way home from OLGC and Madonna, sleepovers and much more. Your mother was always a welcoming presence. Thinking back to those days, I love that she called me "Jake" when most of my friends' parents deemed it more appropriate to use my given name.
Though "rest in peace" may be the traditional farewell, I picture your mother in heaven sharing her wit and catching up with the many good people who have gone before her. May she live forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known her.

Joan was the best of friends, and a truly beautiful human being. I thought of her as my second mother, and in fact, she and my mother developed a special relationship despite the long distance between Illinois and Texas. I will remember Joan for her kindness, sense of humor, and how she truly lived out her faith every single day. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Met Joan because my husband and I were friends of her sister-in-law Sue Nash and Dan. Would run into Joan off and on in life. She was a lovely, sweet kind woman. Her daughter that lived with her in the last yrs was so kind to me when I called for some information about Connie Balder her sister-in-laws daughter. I am sure any one who met and knew Joan will miss her. Sympathies to the family. God Bless you Joan, rest in peace. Mary Russ and husband Bill

Ma adopted me a few years ago when she kept seeing and talking with me when her son's band would perform in public and she attended whenever she could... I was the drummer in that rock band and she made me feel so good when she told me once that, in her words " you work harder playing ( the drums) than any of the other guys in the band !" Thanks Ma... I also repaired her car when she needed to have it fixed, so one day she presented me with this poem she wrote just for me ! ♥
There once was a guy named Luke
his car repair talent was no fluke
when it came to cars... he was a czar
but I still think he's a kook ! ☺
Love ya Ma.... miss you...
