Joan M. Lieb, born on July 24, 1952, was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Joan passed away on March 6, 2026, and her absence will be profoundly felt by her family and friends.
Joan was the devoted mother of her two children, John W. Lieb, Jr. (Jodi) and Ann-Marie Seamen (James). She took great pride in her role as grandmother to Abigail and Alexander Lieb and Annabella Seamen. Joan is survived by her significant companion, James Frangelli, Jr., and her brother, Joseph Vaichunas (Francine).
Joan took a genuine interest in being present at the grandchildrens sporting events and activities. Joan's enthusiasm and encouragement were a constant source of comfort and inspiration to them, reflecting the deep love she held for her family.
Joan's love extended beyond her immediate family, as she had a special fondness for family pets, always welcoming them with affection and treats, ensuring they felt just as important and loved as everyone else.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, John William Lieb, Sr., and her parents, John and Anna Vaichunas. The legacy of love and support that Joan cultivated within her family will continue to resonate through their lives.
Friends and family are invited to join in honoring her memory at the Donohue Funeral Home in Upper Darby, PA. There will be viewings on March 16, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on March 17, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service starting at 11:00 AM. Interment at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
Joan M. Lieb will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for her unwavering support, warmth, and encouragement. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
