Of Getzville, NY; Age 94. Beloved wife of the late Paul M. Liptak. Dearest mother of Paul (Diane) Liptak and Jeffrey Liptak. Loving and caring grandmother of four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dearest sister of the late Virginia (Edwin) Gurtner and the late Gloria (Thomas) LoPresti. Daughter of the late Mary and Herman Hezel. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joan attended St. James grammar school through 8th grade and was a 1948 graduate of Kensington High School where she was active in a number of sports programs. She was also a member of the Kensington High School Alumni Association. Joan worked as a Teacher's Aide in the Ken-Ton School District for many years as well as a member of St. Pius X Altar and Rosary Society. Joan was an avid sports fan and loved watching Bills, Sabres and Yankees games; the Bills being her very favorite. Family will be present to receive family and friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 4-7 PM at the (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Dr. (cor. Hopkins). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on July 16, 2025 in St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 St. Gregory Ct., Williamsville, NY 14221 (please assemble at church).
