Joan and her sister, Joyce, were friends in junior high and high school. Joyce and I both played sax in the Sheridan Junior High School band. Joan was always in our "group", and I always found her to be a nice and enjoyable person. My condolences on your loss. The last time I saw Joan was at a get-together last summer. My prayers and thoughts are with your family.

Joan, her sister Joyce and I grew up together from our early years of going to grade school and church together right through high school. I have many fond memories of Joan and her family as we were growing up. I was looking forward to seeing her again this year on my trip back to Minneapolis for my annual visit with family and friends. She was a "sweetheart" of a person from the word "go" and I will always have great memories of her. May God give you his Peace and have Mercy upon your family during these difficult times.

Joan was a fellow associate with me at Walmart.I loved to listen to her talk of the fun her family had together at the lake or on your girls dressup weekends. I hope all those memories will help you through these difficult days. My sympathy to you all. We will miss her smiling face at work too.

I grew up going to my cabin on Sugar Lake. Some of my favorite memories were spending time up at the old resort playing pool and eating pizza's Joan would cook for us. Joan and Don were regular fixtures on Sugar Lake and it's hard to believe they are gone. I was so sad to hear of Joan's passing, she was always such a sweet person to us kids. I pray Joan's family can find peace in this time of sadness.

Warm Regards,
Albert and Cheryl Smith and Jodi and Jason Smith
