Although I did not know the family personally, I lived just down the road from them. My husband and I enjoyed watching Bob and Joan on their daily walks, always hand-in-hand, and we appreciated exchanging greetings with them. Life was "busy" with our young twins, full time jobs and other activities. I regret not following through on my thoughts of getting to know them better. I also enjoyed their annual summer "bash", and loved listening to the backyard music. As time passed, I realized one year that we hadn't heard that music. It's strange how we often don't pay attention to those "little things", until they're gone. Thank you, Joan.and Bob, for sharing those little things with us. May God Bless you with peace. And may your family be comforted with memories of the love, joy and good times you shared.
Sending sincere sympathies to the family at this difficult time.
