Joan Ann Moniz

Joan Ann (Simoneau) Moniz, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and best friend passed away peacefully on November 6th. Joan was born in Attleboro, MA to the late Henry and Lena (DeBlois) Simoneau on December 16, 1935. She attended school at St. Mary's Catholic Elementary School and North Attleboro High School.

She was married to Edward Moniz for 41 years before he passed in May 2007. Together, they successfully owned and operated Ed's Cleaners on Main Street in Falmouth for 30 years. They enjoyed watching the Red Sox together and her favorite times were spent traveling and camping with friends in their RV. She enjoyed many adventures with her sister, Janet Pratt, that always started with Willy Nelson's "On the Road Again" and down the road they went! Joan was a past member of the St. Anthony's Women's Club and she was a longtime supporter and advocate for People for Cats. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Joan was predeceased by her daughter, Debra J. Feeney. She leaves her children Calvin Perry (Carol Jonas), Wareham, MA, James Perry, Provincetown, MA, Joanie Jacobs (Jeffrey), Otisfield, ME, Michelle Deutschmann, Falmouth, MA, Michael Perry (Christine Beliveau) San Francisco, CA, Edward Moniz, East Falmouth, MA and sons-in-law Mark Deutschmann, Hatchville, MA and Robert Feeney, Rotonda West, FL. She also leaves her grandchildren, Robert Deutschmann, North Port, FL, Brittany Deutschmann, East Falmouth, Alison Deutschmann, Palm Harbor, FL, Jillian Jacobs, Gardiner, ME, Jared Jacobs, San Diego, CA and her great grandson, Brody Deutschmann, East Falmouth. She also leaves her sister, Janet Pratt, Danielson, CT and her brother, Hank (Carole) Simoneau, Attleboro, MA and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will take place at 10am on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at St. Anthony's Cemetery, 167 E. Falmouth Hwy, East Falmouth, MA.
