Auntie Joan was always welcoming and when my brother Mike and I would come for one of their New years bashes in DesPlaines, there was always room for us to stay the night. Then we´d go to the back woods and listen to John or Gerry to play the guitar. She was a great lady.

when joan first moved to amasa I was excited as she would be my neighbor as we both loved horses, I helped her put up a fence & our friendship started there , she taught me a lot about horses.
