EAST GREENBUSH - Joan A. Pape, 93, of East Greenbush, passed away peacefully at her home, on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Born in Troy, N.Y., Joan was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Watson) Hull.
Joan found joy in the simple pleasures of life - gardening, crafting, and shopping, but nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her great-grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life. She was also a faithful and dedicated parishioner of the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights, where she volunteered her time generously.
Professionally, Joan was admired for her strong work ethic and dedication. She served as office manager for Dr. Sydney Tate for 18 years, before continuing in the same role for her son-in-law, Dr. Douglas Tucker, for an additional 21 years.
Joan is survived by her beloved daughter, Jo-Ann (Douglas) M. Tucker; her cherished granddaughter, Jessica (Gabriel) Leo; and her adored great-grandchildren, J.J., Lucas, and Ellie Leo. She is also survived by her niece, Carol Mahoney; and nephew, Bobby Eddy.
In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph R. Pape; her brothers, Jack and Bill; and her sisters, Helen, Doris, Marion, Marguerite, and Ruth.
Friends and family are invited to her Mass of Christian Death and Burial, on Thursday, December 18, at 12:30 p.m., in the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights, 163 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. Interment will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
