Joan Pitzer Obituary

Joan was born in New Castle on July 10, 1940 to the late Arthur Lewis and Anne Marie (Reiter) Daugherty.
She married her beloved husband, John C. Pitzer, Jr., on September 11, 1956. He survives at home.
Joan was a loving homemaker, who always cared for her husband and children. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with her growing family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband; she is survived by two sons, John Pitzer (Brenda) and Randy Pitzer (Barbara); seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Bintrim; and two sons; infant Mark Pitzer, and James Pitzer.
The family would like to express their appreciation for Quality Life Services of New Castle for the compassionate care they gave to Joan in her final days.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no viewing or service. Arrangements are entrusted to Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill St.
