Joan Rainey Obituary
Joan was a graduate of Milford High School and worked for the City of Milford in the engineering Department for over 23 years. Joan enjoyed volunteering for Milford Hospital, spending time with her Red Hats, traveling as much as she could, watching the UConn Women's Basketball Team and the NY Giants. She always looked forward to her Thursday night card games with her friends. And most of all spending time with her grandchildren, especially her youngest great granddaughter Lily.
Joan is survived by her children, Kevin (Lauren) Rainey, Stephen (Barbara) Rainey; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and her brother, Harold Summers, Jr. Joan was also predeceased by her infant son, David, Jr.; sons William and Robert Rainey; and siblings, Ralph, Diane, and Rosemary.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
