Joan G. Robbins, age 85, of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at her home.
Born December 18, 1937 in Caldwell County, Joan was a daughter of the late Roland Hamrick and Johnsie Link Green. Joan will be remembered for her love of gardening, flowers and her church family. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Robbins; a granddaughter, Stella Keye; two brothers, Bobie K. Greene and Billy R. Greene; and three sisters, Kay Hope Brown, Sherry Jane Jones and Gail Greene Johnson.
Survivors include her son, Ken Robbins (wife Emily) of Lenoir; a daughter, Renee Robbins Runde (husband Audun) of Granite Falls; a brother, W. Larry Greene of Conover; her grandchildren, Bradley Myers, Allison Robbins Tucker (husband Justin) and Alisha Robbins (Mark Watson); her step grandchildren, Daniel Ekker-Runde, Camilla Ekker-Runde and Alexander Ekker-Runde; three great grandchildren, Lincoln Clarke Keye, Nick Tucker and Ryan Tucker.
A celebration of Joan's life will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Alan Carr. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
