SILVA, Joan A. (Scarano) In Wellesley, formerly of Carver and Boston's North End, on December 27, following a lengthy illness, at 79 years. Beloved daughter of the late Stephen S. Scarano and Elvira M. (Picardi) Scarano. The devoted wife of the late Darrell Silva. Cherished mother of the late Lisa Siciliano. Grandmother of Brianna Marois. Loving sister of Stephen Scarano and Leonard Scarano and the late Louise Scalfani. Family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Monday, January 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., REVERE. A Funeral Service will be conducted in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m., followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Joan was born and raised in the Boston's North End, where she attended Julie Billiart Catholic High School. She loved to travel with her husband, Darrell, and host many theme-based events for family and friends at their home in Carver, MA.
